Thought he handled Garnacho beautifully. Set the tone that playing for fouls was not going to be tolerated. Notice how little dessent he got as a result.

When you play an even hand, you get more evenly balanced reactions from the players, as they don't bay for cards and fouls all the time.

Exactly, they tested him early with some ridiculous rolling about and screaming, when they realised he wasn’t buying it they knocked on the head.
