Broadhead 17:30 - Jan 6 with 2268 viewsbsw72

With everything else from yesterday's game, just wanted to call out Broadhead's little chip/cross in for Johnson which lead to Szmodics' opener yesterday. Was absolutely perfect.

I really hope he has been injured otherwise it does make the decision not to be selecting him look a bit silly.

a niche perspective

He had a great game and is like a new signing, he has improved from his own high standard of last season.

He looks quicker too… and that was my main worry for him in the PL. certainly shown he can operate to a very decent level

We’ll be good again... one day

The way he jinked past so many Fulham players showed he belonged at this level.

The way he's working off the ball shows he'll stay.

Poll: So, how many league wins did you see in person?

He's a class footballer, good footballing brain and very quick feet, we don't have anyone else like him, he's like a new signing,
His work rates gone up to,

We were told he was injured. Why question it?

Remember though, he had missed the whole of pre-season training and was playing catch-up on that.

Remember though, he had missed the whole of pre-season training and was playing catch-up on that.

McKenna's comments after the Chelsea game:

“He was unlucky with the timing of his injury at the very start of pre-season, which meant that he missed the whole of pre-season and the first few weeks of the season.

“From that point, you're playing catch-up and obviously other people come into the building, and the whole group is ahead of you in terms of match fitness.

“But he showed his quality in training and he's built up his physical level over the last couple of months. Possibly, it has done him good to have a spell of training without having to play games in terms of his body.

“We know he's got quality and he can be a really important player here. I think the way that he stepped into the team the other day, one, his fitness levels were outstanding for the 70 minutes or whatever he played."
