McKenna has called for Town to impose themselves more on Man City.
I’m really looking forward to it. We were a bit green and ungelled at the Etihad, but we had real moments. We have developed and improved. It will be quite a moment to see De Bruyne, Foden, Haaland on the Portman Road pitch - something for us to celebrate and savour.
They’re on LDWWD… and the season has disappointed, a danger they are getting back into their stride, BUT some of the wobbly confidence will still be there. Brentford got into them and clawed back a draw.
I just hope we have energy and aggression - win the duels, press them hard, give it a real go. Yes we’ll go into the low block for long periods. But it’s key we also carry threat and push them back at times. Make them nervous.
The crowd is of course massive, those close to the pitch need to be getting into those city players. Make it a difficult experience. If we’re passive, don’t rise to this big occasion it will reduce our chances of getting anything from the game - which is already a tough assignment.
Let’s hope for a bit of luck, the performance of the season, and some magic from a Delap, Hutchinson and of course Philogene - let’s give him a big welcome.

I think the remembrance schedule for the Always A Blue tributes threw the pre-match prep out the window and subdued the atmosphere. It’s a lovely gesture but has an impact.
Today will be similar, as we will have tributes to Denis Law which will have a similar impact on the start. |  | | |
