Sorry, but that is not the way I meant it to come across.
I just think that if we are to survive in this league we need players better than Burns on the pitch. He's done a huge amount for this club in League One and the Championship as you say but just like with Jackson, Edmundson and others, I feel like we have progressed to a level where we need someone better in his position.
Many of this group of players will always be fondly remembered for what they have done over the past couple of years but the Premier League is a different level and if we are to stay up we can't afford to be too sentimental when it comes to players like Burns.
Nothing against him myself and he's a nice bloke as well and I hope he recovers as soon as possible and the injury looks far worse than it is, I just think for a team that wants to stay up, we need to be doing better than Burns. [Post edited 25 Jan 16:00]

Beyond the comment being completely ignorant and unnecessary, it will have a major impact because we need depth. We started the season with Ogbene/ Burns and we now don't have an out and out RW.
Whilst you may not like Burns, he does a decent job for us and we needed his minutes. | | | |
