Abuse of Foden’s Mum today 21:20 - Apr 6 with 1789 viewsMullet

I see Pep has come out and condemned it.

Apart from the obvious misogyny, are we at a point where chants are moving towards more and more things being off limits? I know racism was at one time rife and open, and it still can be in many countries, but with the ongoing rise in prices and gentrification of football is one of the upsides we see more intolerance towards this sort of stuff?

The Delia chants are long overdue being retired, they make us all look a bit simple. Or is this sort of public discussion via Pep only going to harden blokes to thinking this is some sort of hill to die on now?

Why are we being tolerant on Delia, given her history with the club?

Its not banter and is beyond the realms of human decency. Gabby Agbonlahor suffered songs regards his mum and its just totally disrespectful and inhuman. Regards Delia, she has comedy value I know, but I do find derogative songs wishing death etc distasteful and unnecessary. My vocal chords are for supporting our team only...

I used to cringe when I heard the Dambusters theme at England games (mainly vs Germany) and the anti IRA chants when playing Irish sides.

There’s plenty fans can chant about in support of a team rather than somewhat distasteful attempts targeting abuse at individuals but I’m 90% certain that the vocal minority will def play the “woke” card and how this is another sign that England authorities are now weak.

Because she is an 83 year old woman who is pretty much irrelevant these days.

Which bit of the post did you struggle with? I didn't think I was being cryptic.
