That the bloke who fell out of the Cobbold upper is being prposecuted is not a surprise.
However considering the event was in January 2024 why is it taking until September 2026 to get him to court ?

Not to make light of what was a foolish and potentially very dangerous act, but could they not just have slapped him with a couple of grand fine and moved on? Doesn’t feel like the best use of the justice system or public spending (which is probably why it’s taken 2 years).

He's pleaded not guilty, hence it's going to trial. Two-year delay is comparatively short compared to the time a lawyer friend of mine told me some of his clients have had to wait.

He's been charged with causing ABH and 2 X assault by beating.
He fell on a couple I thought.
Is that what constitutes ABH and assault by beating these days?
Blimey.

Fair enough. In that case he deserves his day in court to put his side across.

Must be more to it I guess. As you say based on whah I saw it looked like drunk idiot antics rather than anything designed to cause harm.

The Maidstone guy definitely isn't going to prison.

Might have been 'drunk antics' as it was put, but if someone was injured, 'he was just drunk' shouldn't be a reason to not prosecute if there was a crime.

Especially when said person 100% deliberately rolled themselves down that roof.

If he’s landing on a child he’s causing them serious damage.

Him doing that was easily one of the stupid things I’ve seen anyone ever do in a football ground. Just such a shame he didn’t do it 5meters to the left so he dropped down to the concreter 5/6meters below

Doesn’t matter if it was designed to cause harm or not. The idiot could have caused serious injury or even killed somebody.
