Isn't it more respectful to allow a player the potential chance to go and play week in week out and get himself maybe one last 3 year deal over keeping him as a bit part player and then leaving him as a free agent 35 year old |  |

It's just this theme of short memories. People are writing off so players who were maybe underwhelming in the Premier League, forgetting how good they are at the level we're now at.
