That's a huge blow for our promotion hopes.
Tuanzebe, Burgess, Luongo and Morsy is a lot of leadership lost in a short period of time.
Fair play to Sam for getting a nice final paycheck for him and his family, but i think a 2-3 year deal at ITFC would have been money well spent by the club. | | | |

He’s been a fantastic player for me, but not a legend. He done extremely well in League 1 and the Championship. Was found wanting last year as were 95% of the team. Robson’s squad was competing at the very top with a vastly smaller group of players. Rightly they are counted as legends, not that many thereafter. A step too far last season, perhaps, although he/we still competed well for half a season or so, but it's the explosive rebirth of the club in the three years previously, driven by Ashton, McKenna and Morsy that put him in that category for me. | |

Very rare you feel a real devastation for a player leaving.
It is a reflection on how integral he has been, a real captain with his ability and mentality.
I am pretty comfortable with him heading to the Middle East, although wish we had got 1 more year. But hope he is securing a monster contract, and will return to PR at some stage to receive the send off he deserves.
Thank you for everything Samy, it cannot be underestimated the appreciation I have for what he has done at this club. |  | | |

He changed the club to one with a winning mentality. Has been the ringleader of the most successful period of our club (in my time).
Sad to see him go but maybe he wants to go somewhere with less intensity in the game. Seems fit as a fiddle but you never know if he’s feeling his body. All the best Sam! | | | |
