Surprised to see that Waymo are using Jaguar iPaces. They're supposed to be rather unreliable and prone to being off the road for ages while the dealer tries and usually fails to fix them. Hence, they're stupidly cheap second hand.

You are correct. Mate of mine had an iPace for 6 months (lease) of those 6 months, just over 4 months the car spent with dealer. Lease was cancelled and a new car leased instead.

I was in San Fran 2 weeks ago with work and took the opportunity to book a Waymo... it was fascinating watching it navigate around the streets.

Re. iPace I presume as Jaguar were ending the line Waymo/Google got a great deal in buying 1000s of them. Think there are something like 1200 Waymo's in the States.
