Gotta say… 13:51 - Oct 6 with 801 views | Bluespeed225 | Watching the game back at the moment, the old place looks magnificent, the colours, the crowd, the pitch. Like a Grand Designs update over the last few years. I know it was the Derby, but it looks vibrant.
Gotta say… on 14:29 - Oct 6 with 667 views | OldFart71 | I thought the same. A magnificent stadium. Just think what it will be like if the Cobbold is developed to make it a 35,000 stadium with proper executive boxes. But I guess that's two or three seasons in the future and dependent on getting to the Premier League and staying there. The situation is nowhere as bad as when we last developed the ground as Sereni and George had to be paid off costing a few millions and there weren't the parachute payments as now. Added to that an ownership with a few mill in the bank whereas Sheepshanks didn't have their assets. I think what Gamechanger & Co will want is an established Premier league club and the added advantage of a modern developed stadium so they can make a large profit on theu total outlay.

Gotta say… on 16:34 - Oct 6 with 433 views | bsw72 | I was saying this towards the end of last season - I know it was hard on the pitch as moral was broken from mid Jan onwards, but where we are now with facilities, squad and a future is night and day from 5 years ago. Just coming to the ground on match days is a delight again as it feels alive.

The 80's wasn't much better selling off the 81 boys. Third time lucky hopefully.
