Im my view. On occasions weve shown some promise. However id say maybe only three of them in that half and only one ended with a town shot at goal.
Ive once mentioned clarke on the right. But that imo would only work if the reason was to be that touchline winger pinging balls into the box from his strongest foot. I dont think hes put on one single cross that half so hes been pretty pointless on that side.
Taylor imo having a mare today which isn't helping. Leicester seem to quick for him to compute their movements.
One thing which I think really showed our issues in today's game
Oshea went to azor. He passed to furlong at that point there were 4 leicester players around azor.. that meant there were gaps to get at.. Furlong slowed it down and passed across to oshea. Leicester retreated.
We showed in that half the occasions we briefly hurt Leicester was when we got the ball up the pitch and had players running at them. Mixing up passes uncutting and overcutting etc.
Then the sucker punch of Walton. There's just no need to be that far out of your box. Keepers have seen players esp walton recently taking long shots. If I remember right too I swear fatawu tried similar in one of our games last season or maybe even the one before.
Hirst. Probably not his fault but cant say if he went off the pitch hed be missed that much. Just not involved in the game.
I think its a typical town performance of this season. When its slow it doesn't do much when we speed our play up it can.
Pretty much agree other than the Walton thing - as Westy said on the co-comms, having him there adds to our attacking and prevents through balls. Far more positives than negatives, which is presumably why we do it. That goal is a once in few seasons strike. The first was pretty tasty too. Just one of those days unfortunately.
