| Why do clubs wait until january to sack the manager? 11:51 - Jan 6 with 420 views | SaleAway | With the spate of sackings, it does beg the question, if you want a new manager to come in, and have a successful transfer window, would it make more sense to pull the trigger at the beginning of December, so he can look at the squad, and provide input into targets for the window rather than just jumping straight in. Obviously for some clubs with a DoF, the transfer strategy is separate to the coaching role, but you'd still think that an alignment would be valuable. | |

Surely the coach has to have some input in playing staff and not just be given 25 to work out how to get the best out of them? | | | |
