As a teenager in the 70's I worked as a contractor on the US air force base at Mildenhall daily for 5 or 6 years, two things really shocked me, rampant racism and the hatred of Americans to their police force. There was a white bar at the Galaxy club on base and a black bar, one had dance music and the other rock. Not much seems to have changed since then other than got much worse under Trump.
