But would we rather have one of the uninspiring choices in now and in with his coaches, and choosing his players and knowing the squad, or have it drag on through the summer and wait it out for someone 'better' but with much less time to sort out the staff and team and get unprepared players in. Don't know if I'm just being a wuss but I might actually prefer someone in the door and getting sh1t sorted next week. Rather than a huge limbo period.

Great coaching connections, plenty of experience all over Europe but you would have to wait for the World Cup to end and I just cant see that happening. But would I wait for him over just appointing someone convenient. Edwards or Rosenior. Not sure, maybe.

There are loads of inspiring choices out there now and the new manager will be in for the start of pre-season absolute latest. The season does not start for 72 days.

No one specific but I imagine there is a bit of a merry go round around the world Cup and knock on down the line with other big teams still to pick managers. There is time, definitely, but we always moan about players not having a pre season and it's doubly hard if the manager has only just walked in for the start of ore season.

Potter or Anthony Barry would both be excellent choices IMO if open to coming and both are at the WC.

For that to happen successfully I guess Ashton would need someone in place pretty quickly. Probably already spoken to quite a few available. If Frank will have his mind changed, then he would be my first choice.
