Hi Bankster - not sure what you're referring to, but I was harking back to a real life story I heard on late night radio once, about tech gadgets gone wrong. Some poor couple had one of those robotic carpet vacs, a toddler, and a new puppy. Guy was in his study for about 10 mins taking a call or something ... you can imagine the rest!!

Sounds like the same story, in this version they set it to clean at 2 in the morning and are woken by their toddler climbing into bed smelling a little doggy! Followed by finding whole of downstairs liberally splattered.........I was shocked that people bought these things !

Haha, yes, think it was that one - my memory's a bit fallible these days when it comes to details! The 'bots have been used a couple of times in crime fiction I believe, but have probably become a cliche now.
