Can’t believe it’s October already. Oh and it’s night, there is no sun.

This is the first time I’ve been back in ages. I’ve forgotten what darkness and stars look like. It’s quiet and the air doesn’t taste like sweat, farts and exhausts.

When I was out in Thetford last week the sky does seem a lot bigger there and because no sound of cars all night it is really peaceful out in the forest.

Although I'd guess that like Lakenheath, the day is often noisier with planes flying over all day!
