I would rather not get to Wembley and win this trophy. This trophy is pathetic.. Under 23 teams competing with second string league teams (in the most part) in front of tiny crowds. Adding fixtures in for teams with smaller squads who are already playing in 3 competitions.
There were 3 Southampton fans at coventry. There will be 300 home fans at colchester, this trophy is ridiculous, even Lambert says so. Why should I be enthused or give a care about a trophy that even our manager doesn't care about. I was at the play off final at the old Wembley and it was one of the best memories of my life. I don't want my first trip to the new Wembley (as an Ipswich fan) to be about a game I couldn't care less if we win or not. | |
