Yes I know its Norwich....but that was no way offside. Just heard that it was deemed to be because he came back from an offside position....BEFORE THE BALL WAS PLAYED...what the heck is going on here nowadays.

Exactly. We're the most biased viewers of that goal in the country, but I despair if that's brought back and ruled out because his armpit is half a millimetre ahead of Alderweireld's knee.

I hate Norwich as much as the next man, but that's a joke of a decision.

What became of 'clear and obvious'...something needs to be done asap to return the game into the hands of the referee and linesman. Farce....Carrot crunchers were singing "it's not football anymore" and for once i agree with them.

There were a number of problems with that one. Very surprised to see it overturned.

1 The frame didn't show the ball being played (presumably it was correctly frozen at the same time from another frame which should be OK).

2 The camera is not in line. No matter how much drawing lines is done, they cannot be 100% infallible. If you are going to use VAR for offside, have a camera that constantly follows up and down the line of the last defender (or second last if the keeper is ahead of them). It can't be that hard with modern technology.

3 The only part that appeared to be offside was his arm which cannot be used to play the ball.

That said, it was Norwich so it was funny. However, they are also still 1-0 up and Tottenham need to pull their finger out and stop blasting 1-on-1s high over the bar.

Not going to happen. A point each which is too little to be much good for either of them.

When the margin between Pukki and Alderweireld is so miniscule, the technology has to be able to work without a margin of error... which clearly it doesn't, as per your #1 and #2.

Agreed! Or even what Pukki did... which used to be good centre forward play!
