Not sure there is much in this at all.

He could have stayed at Liverpool, never played a single match, and left for a worse team than Derby. Not sure the move was that risky at all to be honest, no one would be making articles about this had he done well in Italy.

not sure its quite the 'fairy tale' he was sold tho, a year in the U19s in Italy, desperate to come home, changed his agent and ends up in Derby

He could have stayed at Liverpool broken into the first team and ended up winning something

If you want to believe the agent, the club told him it is unlikely he will ever break through.

It's all "he said, she said".

Displacing Nathaniel Clyne is a bit easier than Firmino, Salah, Mane.

agreed but Liverpool were reasonably lucky with serious injuries last season, certainly compared to us anyway!!

I don't think leaving was wrong, he just went to the wrong place. But hand forced a bit by needing to go abroad....

Had he stayed at Liverpool he'd have got nowhere, like Rhian Brewster who is about to be sold - he's ended up in a decent position at Derby who have a host of excellent youngsters pushing on, hopefully works out for him

George Hirst is another one. Rcently loaned out to Rotherham. Same age group as Andre but whereas Andre has 50 appearances in England Hirst has 4 (I doubt the Belgian 2nd division is up to much).
