Dozzell and Nolan arguably our worst players. Both painfully ineffective as they had been on Tuesday night. Playing 'safely' for the most of the game and mostly passing backwards towards Holy and offering no service whatsoever for the forwards. Nolan won't be missed for me in the next three games.

Agreed. This was a complete failure of management, it was like watching a Mick team all over again. Constant playing back, 67% of first-half possession mainly in our half of the field, no encouragement to play forward, no thrust or incisiveness. At one point in the second half when we might have stepped up the pace, we had a free kick in their half with 5 men in line with the ball and 1 man up front. There was no attempt to change this with subs until way too late, and then of course the incredibly silly red card. Lambert does need to sort this out quickly and prove we can compete with the top teams...of League One. |  | | |
