I don't think it would work. People will still have it and mixing at Christmas, indoors in the cold and possibly across multiple friend/family groups will spread it across the country again.

I hope I'm wrong.

But schools are being able to stay open, it looks obvious that is where a lot of the infections are coming from. Look how many schools have had cases in Ipswich, I think the college has only had one case though.
