Town v Referee's 13:44 - Nov 9 with 642 viewsDerick_ipsw

As it stands this season so far, Town are losing 3-0 to Referee's, 2 in the League Lincoln and Sunderland and one in the FA cup. The 2pts (drawing at the time) we lost during those League games could be the difference between Play off/Promotion this season. Lets hope we get no more daft decisions. If we get beat fair enough like at Doncaster but the rest definitely leaves a bad taste.

We have form with referees going back a long, long way.

It’s almost as though these incorrect decisions against us have increased since Plambert’s critical public outburst a few weeks ago.... 🤔

This woe is me stuff regarding refs is getting a little ridiculous. All teams have decisions go against them. There is no conspiracy.

....the teams that actually get into the opponents penalty area the most get the most dubious penalties, not surprisingly.

The teams that have the most shots on goal, get the most dubious goals.

As Gary Player (or Jack Nicklaus, or Lee Trevino, or someone else) said:

"The more I practice, the luckier I get"

You aren't going to get any dodgy penalties or offside goals by passing the ball along your own back four.

or by making 9 changes and essentially performing for 35 minutes in 120.

I don't know about this at all. How many decisions that have previously gone our way have we ignored? How many of these decisions were actually wrong? The offside one certainly, but the others are victims of the modern interpretation of the rules more than the referee.
