Any properly run organisation would think very hard about banning a local journalist from press conferences, especially one representing the biggest online fan forum.
Dan is good, but there’s obviously a real senior leadership gap at the club. There’s more to comms than being good on social media.
I guess Lambert just said he didn’t like Phil, and that was that.

Yes seems clear that Lambert just wants to avoid any tricky questions. He wants press stuff where he just rolls out the same tired old clichés. I remember when the press conferences were streamed, it was clear he had daggers for Phil more often than not. Also look how he was with Brenner recently.

It’s unbelievable there’s no apparent discussion over this at the club, especially considering the situation we’re in and Lambert’s reputation and performance.
Is there even a senior leadership team, or does everyone just do what Lambert or Evans says?

It’s clearly personal and isn’t just to do with the team being named on here. Even someone as deluded as Lambert would know that banning Phil from Portman road isn’t going to prevent further breaches on an open forum. If they had some evidence that Phil was the one leaking the teams then that would be a different matter but that’s clearly not the case. Banning Phil does nothing to prevent the same thing from happening again. I’m not attending any games, even if I get tickets in the ballot, and I won’t be on the club website either until he’s gone, absolute disgrace. |  | | |

That is my thought too. Yes, Lambert has initiated this but somebody at the club should be pulling the reins in and saying 'No'. TWTD and Phil are the voice of the fans, more so than the local paper. This is a fanzine/forum run by fans for the fans and has always had a close, good relationship with the club.
This coming in a season where the club have milked it being 40 years in May since the UEFA Cup win and 20 years since that memorable day at Wembley. Times when the club was everything that a club should be. Close to its fanbase, everyone in it together. And we were proud.
This evening I feel embarrassed quite frankly to support this club. And that's the first time I've said that despite how bad everything else has been for so long now. | | | |
