Heard this on the radio the other night, not heard it in a long time but mentally was immediately transported back to European nights under the lights in '81 (possibly the worst video ever though)
The other one which I hear rarely but always makes me think of Town is this one. Remember Danny Baker playing it on 606 for us when we got promoted under Lyall. Actually think this should be our music to come out to.
No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.
Bye bye baby - Bay City Rollers Just for the Scottish connection and now all I can see in my mind is PL in tartan trimmed baggie trousers headbutting Phil at a presser. Having checked the lyrics I many are pertinent to our current situation. If you hate me after what I say Can't pull it off any longer Just gotta tell her anyway Bye bye baby, baby goodbye (Bye baby, baby bye bye) Bye bye baby, don't make me cry (Bye baby, baby bye bye) You're the one girl in town I'd marry Girl, I'd marry you now if I were free I wish it could be I could love you, but why begin it 'Cause there ain't any future in it She's got me, but I'm not free, so Bye bye baby, baby goodbye (Bye baby, baby bye bye) Bye bye baby, don't make me cry (Bye baby, baby bye bye) Wish I never had known you better Wish I knew you before I met her Gee, how good it would be for me Should have told her that I can't linger There's a wedding ring on my finger She's got me, but I'm not free, so Bye bye baby, baby goodbye (Bye baby, baby bye bye) Bye bye baby, don't make me cry (Bye baby, baby bye bye)
