I had a moment of refelction this week when I noticed Civ 6 has currently devoured 1528 hurs of my life.

Was it Civ 2 that had the Elvis cultural advisors?

	No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

I think you may be right on Elvis,

Civ 2 remains my favourite

It's quite funny hearing you say that, a common theme with these kinds of games is that fans say each iteration has become less complex.

The Civ 6 that exists now with the expansions that have come out bears little resemblance to what was originally released. For me it's gone from a bit meh to by far my favourite itineration, and despite the lost hours I'm not somebody who micromanages or gets too deep. You can have a lot of fun as just a casual gamer.

I started my Civ journey on an Atari ST, seems like another lifetime.

I think my first Civ experience was via an Amiga 1200

You could try Alpha Centauri.
It's the game that starts once the spaceship (that ends Civ2) reaches its destination.
Same Civ2 gameplay but v. different as the workers are terraformers and can change the map anyway you like + cities in the sea.

	Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?
