Problem with winning last night 10:25 - Feb 24 with 857 views | chrismakin | Is we know the club look at social media. And once again 1 win and a better performance and theres a big shift from booo Lambert out to a few murmours and majority of posts and on tweets and on Facebook about how good it was. If we can keep this run going etc etc. That's all great. But Hull... same form as town going into last nights game. 3 players passed very late fitness tests before the game and they were bloody awful. I get be happy we won. But the talk of going on run etc. We are in the mix etc is exactly how Lambert had kept his job and probably will keep it even longer now. Weve now played 2 games with this new Mick mcarthy I'd it style . And suddenly everything is rosy again. So weve spent 2.5 years getting back to what mick did. How long till teams figure this out

The vast majority of fans are (rightly) enjoying a very good win and a) expressing frustration that we have been so poor for the last three months and b) still firmly of the view that it's too late for Lambert to change things. That seems about right to me.

Not at all. Even the papers have included as such. This is exactly why Evans hasnt and wont do anything. To many fickle fans for them to easily ignore whilst the majority will happily sit and just follow the tide. If we win great. If we lose oh well be patient Sir Bobby had time. And I'm still a firm Lambert outta and there are still some on here of course there are.. but if the club can turn the papers so easily etc theres no reason for them to make a change as the majority of supporters will follow the papers view. Thays what I'm talking about majorities. Not the minority outers [Post edited 24 Feb 2021 10:43]

Problem with winning last night on 10:42 - Feb 24 with 767 views | Garv | You have to realise some fans don't get caught up with the political (if I can call it that) side of supporting their club. Some won't read every manager interview or go on forums every day. You could call it burying one's head in the sand or you could call it simply being a football fan. Some will simply enjoy their football team winning, especially when they haven't done it much in recent times. It's not a 'problem'.

Problem with winning last night on 10:44 - Feb 24 with 749 views | jayessess | I saw a lot of responses praising the players. Haven't seen one iota of credit for Lambert, which is something that would really concern me if I ran the club. How do you build enthusiasm and support at a club when the relationship with the manager is so sour that the supporters won't credit him with winning arguably their toughest fixture all year? Statistically, we're still odds against to make the play-offs and rank outsiders for promotion. So the club should know they're likely stuck with this toxic relationship for the foreseeable future and it'll hamper everything they do from here on out.

It is when it's those supporters which is important to Evans. Theyll still buy tickets. Merch etc. Why listen to a few outers when you have thousands of floaters who will find the club.

You sort of back up the point I'm making. The 8 year olds whose parents take them to games won't know the name of the club's owner or how he runs the club. They don't care, why would they? But they'll still ask for the new shirt for Christmas and want to go to all the games, which means the parents will buy tickets as well. Why is that a bad thing? You can't call them floaters. Ultimately if enough people vote with their feet (and wallets), as they did before Mick left, Evans will take notice.
