A poor performance, but 3 points and closing in on play-offs. Cook thoughts... 21:17 - Mar 2 with 878 viewsunstableblue

Jeeze that was a tired and ineffective display. We were quite headless, limp in front of goal and gave the 10 men Stanley too much ball.

BUT, its 3 points,we're 2 off the play-offs but more importantly we're 7 points off Lincoln, with a game in hand, and 9 points off Hull with 3 games in hand!!!

So what will have Cook have learnt:

- Dozzell is a really good player and talent
- Bishop is a real midfielder, with great tough
- Wilson and Toto look a solid partnership
- Norwood only scores harder chances
- Kenlock runs like an ostrich but is very comfortable on the ball
- Parrot needs a goal
- Edwards can be quite poor when he wants to be
- As a team we don't have clear in-game patterns and plans

It wasn’t really a poor performance, it was poor in parts, just like Saturday. We did run out of steam, which allowed a bigger more physical side some pressure, but when did we look like conceding? Really...

"Edwards can be quite poor when he wants to be" Yeah, that was right up Blubber's alley tonight. Edwards was pointless.

Edwards won a free kick deep into injury time.

Which meant that overall he chalked up a 1/10 performance off the bench.

He was really poor tonight

You'd think players would be chomping at the bit to perform with the new manager in the stand

The sad thing is that with Bennets final ball being so bad,we really do need Edwards

Although I would say Bennets does cause real problems

Poor second half, but credit Stanley for changing their system. You wouldn’t have thought that they were a man down. We should have been out of sight by half team. Second half we stopped trying to pass the ball and basically played them at their own game
