A squad from the last 11 managers. 10:56 - Apr 6 with 1259 viewsOwainG1992

This is based more at the older fans I feel.
As I starting following around 2000/2001ish as a Leeds born Ipswich fan with a Welsh Father.
Constantly asked why I ended up following Town and sometimes I wonder what on earth happened!

My question is can some fans pick a 1 to 11.
But 1 player has to have played for our last 11 managers.

Let's say Lambert and backwards.

E.g Mick could be Bart, Or you could use him for Hurst etc.

Paul Goddard doesn't count, surely? Mick McGiven possibly, but really it was John Lyall then George Burley.

McGiven was basically just in charge for 1993-94 season with Lyall in charge before and after, then they'd both resigned by December 1994 with relegation looking certain.

Original poster said Lambert backwards. So these are the official managers.

Bobby Ferguson - Gates (AM)

John Duncan - Zondervan (M)

John Lyall - Forrest (GK)

George Burley - Stewart (ST)

Joe Royle - Bent (ST)

Jim Magilton - Wilnis (RB)

Roy Keane - Walters (M)

Paul Jewell - McAuley (CB)

Mick McCarthy - Mings (LB)

Paul Hurst - Skuse (M)

Paul Lambert - Chambers (CB)

Turned into a 4-3-1-2. Found midfield was the hardest to fit in. With Keane, Hurst and Lyall being my last three picks. Tough. More time needed to make a better team. Picking Stewart early probably cost me a better team overall. Drop him, bring in a Burley mid, get a Lyall striker and get Bart in there is probably a better route. But got 4 mins before a meeting now.

If you are talking actual club managers then Paul Goddard would not be included and the first of the 11 would be John Duncan.

Mick McGiven - Craig Forrest GK
John Lyall - Mauricio Tarrico D-R
Paul Jewell - Aaron Cresswell - D-L
Jim Magilton - Jason De Vos D-C
Paul Hurst - Luke Chambers - D-C
Paul Lambert - Flynn Downes - M-C
George Burley - Matt Holland - M-C
Paul Cook - Teddy Bishop - M-C
Roy Keane - Jon Walters - A-R
Mick McCarthy - Daryl Murphy - A-L
Joe Royle - Darren Bent - A-C

I'm including Cook and McGiven as my ITFC memory doesn't go before Lyall.
So controversially am going for a 4-3-3 system, however I think we have the players to make it work :-)

Including Paul Cook in mine because I don't go back beyond the John Duncan era...

Too many central midfielders in there and playing Mings in a position that I don't think he played for us (but has played since leaving). Could have had many, many players in there from Burley's era, but Peralta was such a joy to watch and probably had the biggest impact of any player in the time I have been watching over the period of games he played.

Joe Royle - Davis (GK)

Paul Lambert - KVY (RB)

John Lyall - Wark (CB)

Paul Jewell - Mings (CB)

Mick McCarthy - Cresswell (LB)

Paul Hurst - Walters (M)

George Burley - Peralta (M)

Jim Magilton - Mark Noble (M)

Paul Cook - Downes (M)

John Duncan - Atkinson (CF)

Roy Keane - Counago (CF)

There are some odd ones that you could have like Dyer (loan) under Keane or Richard Wright under Jewell.

OP said they just had to play. So you could have Bart as your Hurst pick...

EDIT: Oh wait, I see, he wasn't even here for them. I down voted because I'm an idiot and thought I was evening out incorrect info

Oh yes, quite right.......I was paying too much attention to Wikipedia which lists Jewell as the manager in 2012/13 and Mings in the squad......I should have scrolled down to see that McCarthy took over in November of that season. And I should have known Mings was Mick's signing anyway because of the trial game story.

I thought we were arranging them as a squad ...

RB Burley
CB McCarthy etc.

Feel like the midfield is a bit over-powered relative to the rest of them!
