More coherent and balanced than plenty of recent matches, still not enough goal threat despite the early chances and Bishop playing some nice balls. Jackson has had a really good ten minutes since coming on for Norwood, really good running.
Charlton look most likely to score from us giving the ball away in midfield although Holy flapped to give them their best chance.

Certainly sounds like having KVY back in the team is adding something to the shape of the team. Now hopefully when he gets fully fit his individual quality will add more sparkle to the ebb and flow of the attack. |  |

Not really, he's been fairly conservative. Ward has been more notable in a forward role.

Yes, I didn't make that clear. While he's not tearing it up as a player, it feels there is more shape and consistency across the team. Wolfenden and Chambers really are not the full package on the wings - so the shape suffers as people have to be more cautious on the flanks.
Having a dedicated RB in the team is a big boon for us, and will be for the last few games. | |

Apart from the awful run of not scoring, I wasn’t bored and turned off, saw bits and bobs that I liked, we need a few new players still though.
Downes was surprisingly off the pace IMO today.
Jackson’s touch let him down but I thought he did well all things considered, some good runs but heavy balls through gave him little chance.
Look like an early season ‘team’ not a confident one that’s nearing the end of a season. |  | | |
