I didn't watch yesterday so can't comment on his performance - I was pleased to hear he saved a penalty though. However, having watched every other game he's played for us, I don't think he's good enough for us long term.
Both of our senior keepers have flaws but I would rather see Holy in goal out of the two of them and when the demolition and rebuild begins, I would imagine that is one of the lesser areas of concern. |  |

As I said in my OP, Cornell's lack of height is a concern in "the modern game". Goalkeepers changed after Schmeichel came on the scene.
Cooper was shorter and less physically intimidating than Jennings, Clemence and Shilton. He was a great keeper and an important part of our history. But he didn't command his area and take everything in the air in the way the top keepers of their day did.
Take a look at the video of the 2nd leg of the UEFA Cup Final. Coops wasn't a commanding keeper. So yeah, I stand by my point that we'd have won more with a Jennings or Shilton in goal. Sir Bobby also felt the same as he tried to sign Jennings from Spurs before he went to Arsenal. | |

Cooper though was dynamic & used his feet brilliantly. His awareness of angles too.He caught the ball unlike modern keepers & his throwing was top class, you don’t see that these days. Wasn’t too bad at saving penalties either. Very underrated. |  | | |
