There's part of this which is being ignored to
Just because PC gives you an opportunity to go, doesn't mean you have to.
He's mentioned the lack of hunger, the lack of care.. maybe SW is right in his report, this can be a test of who wants to stay and play for ipswich town.
PC is big on trust, trust of his staff, trust of the players. He wants to know that no matter who he sends out on a matchday, they will do what he has asked of them and will hurt if it does'nt work. Having players like Downes who if rumours are correct, has again asked for a transfer.. let him go

I totally agree with this. We have just heard that the players are all free to find themselves a new club. It doesn't mean that every single one of them WILL leave. He may be rooting out the ones who want to go whilst giving those that want to stay a kick up the backside. |  | | |
