Bishop or Pigott? 13:55 - Jun 6 with 1356 viewsKeaneish

Given Pigott is out of contract and Bishop still has a year to run, I’m surprised we’ve not had stronger links with Pigott compared to Bishop. I’d have thought that Pigott’s performances against us and his more prolific record would have made him a primary target.

What does Bishop offer for a fee that Pigott doesn’t for free?

Particulary as the Accrington chairman suggests the fee would have to be 1 million+

Pigott is 3 years older - but at 27 should be at his peak

Given the additional financial constraints on clubs this season, I can see a lower-end Championship team taking a punt on Pigott, as a fairly cheap option in good form. That's what he'll be holding out for at least.

I would probably have made piggott my main target this summer. Not sure if that lacks ambition, but I was very impressed with what I saw from him this season.
