How are so many clubs manager-less this year? 07:41 - Jun 18 with 643 views | tractorboy1978 | Seems a really strange summer with a few clubs in a bit of a mess and nobody in charge! Palace Spurs West Brom Everton Bournemouth have an on-going Saga trying to get Parker in which will leave Fulham managerless The Palace one is baffling to me with everybody knowing Hodgson was off for months.

Maybe it's similar to what KOA mentioned about players having adjust wage expectations. Managers are having as free a hand at the negotiating table. [Post edited 18 Jun 2021 7:53]

I would say that's a bit like us having gone for Lambert, the difference being Benitez is a safe pair of hands Would Everton not like Eddie Howe, that would be a great job for him

Palace being a case in point, changing their target to Santo when it became apparent he was available and may consider it, only for Santo to seemingly start dragging his heels when the Everton job came up…

I think Everton would go for Benitez 'cos he's a good coach and tries to improve the players he's got including youngsters. Other managers such as Mourinho just manage and want to buy established players. Everton can't afford that approach. I think Benitez links to Anfield won't bother the Everton board. Will Benitez feel he can't do the dirty on the Reds? The Reds did the dirty on him when they were owned by Hicks. Lambert had no qualms crossing the divide but Benitez is a higher calibre of person than Lambert.
