Good sportsmanship 13:06 - Jul 7 with 764 viewsMattinLondon

Immediately after the deciding Italian penalty the Spanish keeper clapped the Italian player. Thought that this was a very good example of sportsmanship.

I could be wrong and he simply clapped his hands in frustration but it looked like he was congratulating the Italians. Very impressed by that.

Yeah think he clapped Jorginho as he completely sent him the wrong way.

But was it a slow sarcastic clap?

In this case, a slow clap is still a sign of good sportsmanship.

All claps matter - well unless it’s Gonorrhea which isn’t good.

Yes, I think that was an 'well done, you completely done me there'. Superb penalty. If that little hop means the keeper always moves first, it's almost unplayable.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Thing is, it's not Jorginho like did anything different to every other penalty he'd taken....

Also, useful tip that every keeper knows but often seems to forget:

Watch the penalty taker's non-striking foot as it lands, the majority of shots will go in the same direction that the non-striking foot is pointing....

However, penalty takers know this as well, but it's very difficult for them to point their non-striking foot in a different direction, only the very best can do it...

Try it yourself sometime :-)

Just one small problem; sell their houses to who, Ben? Fcking Aquaman?
