The section of the new mural (which I think is looking really good, by the way) says Crawford scored 227 goals for us, but Wikipedia (which I know isn't always 100% accurate) says 259. Are the additional goals mentioned there in unofficial games or something? Feels like every time I see a list of all-time goal scorers for the club the figures are slightly different. |  |

Maybe goals in unimportant competitions are not counted, he must have scored a quarter of that difference in the European Cup.so
As our participation is not listed in our honours list it is clearly unimportant this those goals are not counted. |  |

The 227 is from various sources, including Ray Crawford's book, and also the most reliable Town stat expert. The difference is friendlies etc, the problem games are fixtures such as Hospital Cup games! |  | | |
