Wow.

I thought he was mostly cr@p when he was here. Is he playing centre back?

The Super Cup is like another friendly, much like the Community Shield. Chalobah will be sent out on loan to Valencia.

He's been their star man across all the friendlies, he's definitely earnt his right whilst the bigger names have been anyway. Tuchel definitely rates him so hope he gets a chance to keep his spot.

In response to Vaughan it's strange how the opinion is so split on him. I thought he was our best player that season, he was still raw yet looked a class above the majority of the players. Yeah he's at centre back.

Given that he was 17 and in ghis first ever season as a professional, being one of our least-worst players during our third worst season ever is probably a far achievement.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

He was on the bench for Chelsea's FA cup final the season before so let's not make the "he's young" excuse.

Also I'm pretty sure he wasn't as young as 17 but hey maybe I'm wrong.

Regardless, he wasn't very good. However definitely must have improved over the past few years if he gets a start at Chelsea.

Good luck to him; he’s been working away - here and abroad - on loan for a few years now. Hope he breaks through.

He had just turned 19 when we got him. I liked him from the very start, looked very composed and comfortable on and off the ball. He had mistakes in him, but you'd expect that from a player in their first professional season, and he ironed those out come the end.

He was one of if not our best player that season. I guess you could still class that as not very good seeing as the entire team was utter dross, but it was pretty obvious there was a player there.

He came on amazingly well that season. He always looked like he had something extra about him but was maddeningly erratic at first. By the end of the season he was certainly one of our best players.

Yeah, I remember him being one of the better ones.
