Individual mistakes 15:00 - Aug 25 with 886 views | Chocorange | Much has been made of the individual defensive mistakes that have blighted our start to the season. When do errors become more than a coincidence? If you are an opposition manager then watching our games, with your team preparing for the game , you would be mad not to put pressure on and close down our players when in possession in our half. What should PC do about it ? 1. Put it down to unluckyness … 1 in a million , safe in the knowledge it won’t happen again. 2. Work hard in training to put it right and stop it happening again. 3. Drop the players who have made the errors? 4. Change his style of play as our professional footballers can’t cope with it?

Individual mistakes on 15:07 - Aug 25 with 852 views | Parsley | Mistakes happen so part of it could be unlucky, I think a lot of it will be players unfamiliarity with the system/each other. Once they know where other players are going to be they'll be more confident making a pass knowing it's not going to be intercepted. Whether players should be dropped comes down to man management and how Paul Cook gets the best out of different individuals.
Individual mistakes on 15:09 - Aug 25 with 841 views | Steve_M | Most of the defensive failings have been organisational as much as individual mistakes, maybe not last week but otherwise. That should get better with time in the training ground and familiarity with other players. If it doesn’t then we have a problem.

Individual mistakes on 15:10 - Aug 25 with 831 views | Pinewoodblue | A good management team identifies ways in which you could put opposition players under pressure. In the main the mistakes we are making couldn’t really be called forced errors.

Individual mistakes on 18:32 - Aug 25 with 668 views | Illinoisblue | It’s a sports psychologist we need. This is Division 3, players will often make stupid mistakes. Unfortunately we seem to be punished for everyone we make. We need to be mentally tougher and smarter on the pitch so we’re not in positions to make stupid mistakes.

Individual mistakes on 19:07 - Aug 25 with 630 views | strikalite | Score goals is the answer, nobody mentions a mistake that is punished if we've scored three ourselves ...with goals comes confidence, less pressure...
Individual mistakes on 19:22 - Aug 25 with 609 views | Churchman | Poor teams and poor players ‘make mistakes’. If you dominate and control games and the odd mistake is made with 10 mins to go and you are 3-0 up, it’s something to work on. If the opposition is dominating possession and giving you the runaround and you make mistakes, it’s going to be a major problem and one that won’t go away. Luck has nothing to do with it in my view. Yes, work hard in training on partnerships and fitness etc and if players are not good enough, drop them. By all means adapt the style of play if you are fighting relegation, but i think it’s best to decide a system and find the players to play it. That worked well enough for Alf Ramsey and that’ll do for me. Can Cook put together a decent team at this level that wins games? His track record says yes, but we are a long way off that at the moment. If I was the Wimbledon manager I’d rubbing my hands with glee at the prospect of playing at PR Saturday. It’s a great opportunity for them.
