There is something very beguiling about the fact that every time you see him play or score, all the coaching, high press, 4 2 3 1, 5 3 2, diamond, box of defenders, etc... goes out the window and he slowly lumbers through the defense pushing the teeny tiny little players good-naturedly out of the way and bundles the ball into the net.
Likw a dad playing in the backgarden with 8 year olds.
He’s a really good guy as well has loads of time for kids.
He’s brilliant in and out of the changing room, he’s raised Wycombe’s profile.
I was talking to a football agent I know who used to be a pro and played against him when Ade was at Northampton I think. He said you have no idea just how big and strong he is until you find him removing you gently (or not so gently!) from his path!
I remember when he played for Northampton against us in the first round of the league cup a decade or so ago. I say played he was such a lump then he pulled him hamstring walking onto the pitch and had to be subbed before kick off. I am surprised no premier league side has taken a punt on him as a impact sub, especially a team battling relegation.
