Being a CEO must be difficult 19:33 - Sep 12 with 1048 viewschrismakin

Take away your thoughts as a fan, and imagine you're Ashton. How do you make the decision of when 'time' is up. Just forget this current situ, but take it as hypathetical in all clubs being honest with you, it's just something I'm curious to know people's thoughts on.

Do you put the foot down early, but risk the potential of future managers seeing you as short term.
Do you go long term and risk targets not being reached but at least you've been fair.....

I'm wandering if finances come into a CEO's decision... Does the attendances become the tipping point. or is it loudness of disproval, or is it Arson of the training grounds ;(

If you were CEO, how would you come to a decision?

He would have given Cook a 15 year deal on Friday afternoon. Saturday 17:00 he was wrong and needs to be sacked!

It's target driven. You have to achieve this by this point and that by that point. If he fails to meet the target, it would be looked at by seeing how close he was to said target and included mitigating factors, such as losing several staff which affect the performance, or customer dissatisfaction isn't as bad as it should be, etc.

That's how most businesses are run.

What is the use of knowing about everything else, when you do not yet know who you are.

put your case to the board, who will vote

the CEO is accountable to the board, they are not some Henry VIII figure with unlimited powers

So coming to town, is the below how it would work

So Ashton has to go to O'Leary
O'Leary would go to Gamechanger who i'd assume would have to include M.E as he owns the same amount as them, into the discussions? and then they go to the pension team

He does, bu he basically what could be described as a silent partner.
They might ask him for his thoughts, but he has no say in the decisions being made.

ah yes, that must be it.........................................of course

though I would have thought any Town fan would be aware of the basic structure of our club

and you would know that share ownership itself does not mean a place on the board

(have a look at what ITFC PLC owns)
