They were quite loud from the SAR lower. But the songs were a bit tin pot.

At one point, aimed at us they started a verse or two of, “sit down if you shag your mum”, when 870 of their 922 were sat firmly on their arses which got something of a smile from me.

The ‘yellows’ chant made me feel a bit sick.

Scum.

And they didn’t even wear yellow today, for reasons I know not.

When I’m in charge, any team playing against one that has worn their change kit unnecessarily will receive a goal start.

I agree I was shocked at how quiet they were today. When I turned up and saw the numbers they had (looked like more than 900ish to me?) I thought they’d make a helluva racket, but never heard a peep from them and most sat down the whole game. Was all very odd

I don't mind Oxford at all (super Jim), and they do wake up for any games against Swindon.

Got nothing against them either. Utterly inoffensive club from my experience, wouldn’t even register on a top 50 least like clubs if I had to compile one. They engaged in a bit of the dark arts today but that’s life, I expect we’ll see more of it as we start to get in our stride and PR becomes a bit more intimidating than it has in recent years.

But I would agree re. their fans today. Really, really quiet bunch for the most part. Quite odd.

I could heard them a few times in the back row of the SBR upper. To be honest, important thing is 922 of them payed money to our club. Unfortunately there will be more than 922 of ours helping to pay their wages later in the season.

You’ve made this point before about our excellent away support as if to say it’s a negative that so many of us travel around the country supporting the lads, making a decent amount of noise which spurs the team on.

Well I s’ppose if you were watching your team fade after just 20mins, and not muster much of an attack on the home sides goal, and then witness your side resort to feigning cramp, being injured, or developing an intense obsession to inspect the grass at close quarters for most of the second half in order to stop the home team at all costs, I’d guess you would want the game to end anytime soon and have f luck all to sing about, wouldn’t you !

Trust me, Oxford knew they had met their match !

I’d agree. Sounded pretty loud from my SAR lower seat too, louder than most this season.
