New manager in before Barrow game on 11:33 - Dec 10 with 706 views | clive_baker | Ideally they would be in role on Monday / Tuesday, to give them most of the week before Sunderland at home, with a big welcome in front of a large crowd. Get the happy clappers chanting 'Neil Lennon's blue & white army' as we go 2-0 up. If we could pick up 3 points on Saturday and be sitting on 30 points when they start, that would be lovely, and give us an outside chance of doing somerthing this season. I make that uinlikely though. There's a bit of a balance to be had in terms of being patient, of course we need to get the right person. It's better to have a hole than an ar5ehole, but time is of the essence if we are to save this season.

This season is over already unless we have the best new manager bounce ever!

It's certainly looking less and less likely by the week. It would require a real up turn in performances and results, we're probably talking needing to be on very high 30's points if we're going to be on the coat-tails of the top 6 by the Jan break, and even then we'll be leaving ourselves a lot of work to do through the remainder of the season. We're really in 4-wins-on-the-bounce territory now, which feels massively unlikely.

I've just done a bit of sick in my mouth. Cheers, Clive.

I'm with you on this. It is going to take nothing short of a sensational run of form to make the play offs so it feels as though every game without the new manager in is another opportunity to lose even more ground. We need someone to come in and give the players a boost ASAP. I would like to think that the board would have had some idea of the new candidate prior to pulling the trigger on Cook. I'm not sure I believe the 'shortlist' idea that Ashton has suggested as it doesn't seem to fit his meticulous planning and organisation that we have seen. If it is the case though, then I would say that is the biggest mistake they have made to date.
