Given the likelihood of further COVID related travel restrictions, international football is going to be problematic, starting with the Africa Cup of Nations in early January. Then there are World Cup qualifiers. Given that the next English season is supposed to start in early August to make room for the absurd Qatar World Cup, endlessly postponing games is near impossible. They are talking about scrapping FA Cup 3rd & 4th round replays & making the League Cup semi finals 1 leg, both of which are sensible. [Post edited 20 Dec 2021 15:34]
