Lunchtime kickoffs 15:16 - Apr 30 with 1233 views | wkj | Shame we don't get to do this more often. Enough time to get home and have a bbq in the garden, set up the tent and get the fosters out of the car. Much nicer than getting home at 6-6:30 if you ask me.

Its subjective. I drove 45 minutes from Ipswich and I'm enjoying the sun and appreciating the 12:30 kickoff.

I tell you what, Boxing day BBQs in the bitter cold are a joy to behold! Not actually kidding. Bored of covid lockdown life, I fired up the BBQ in my winter clothes this year for the hell of it (ate in doors, naturally). WOuldn't do it all the time but it broke up the monotony.

My point was you said its fine if you live in Ipswich, and I live nowhere near. Do you need to come live here in a better county?

It's nice as a rare treat isn't it? Certainly wouldn't want it every Saturday, but here and there is a nice day out.

Exactly. I took my lad who said it was the best game he'd been to and my 10 years old girl to her first ever game and she liked it. 4-0 in the sunshine, couldn't ask for more.

Lunchtime kickoffs on 20:52 - Apr 30 with 764 views | Bluespeed225 | I was pleasantly surprised how well oiled a lot of the crowd seemed to be for such an early kick off. Good effort by all.
Lunchtime kickoffs on 08:08 - May 1 with 591 views | Churchman | I’ve never liked lunchtime kick offs. Somehow, they never feel ‘right’. You don’t have the morning/lunchtime to build up to the game somehow. I’m not keen on Monday, Thurs, Fri, Sunday games either. Nah, I’d ban early kick offs. 3pm Saturday or 7.30/7.45 Tuesday, at a push Wednesday. For radio commentary it has be on Radio 2 with Peter Jones and Bryon Butler - legends who gave you a warm sense of being at the game. Ahhh those were the days…. That’s what becomes of being a boring old traditionalist.
