Uses a platform called Sky AdSmart which uses what Sky knows about you (location, demographics etc) to target specific ads to you via your set top box. It’s why you often see ads for Greater Anglia in East Anglia too. Means the advertisers can be a lot more targeted in who they serve the ads to. A bit like social media / digital marketing, but through your Sky box.
