Have they been left with a rubbish squad on long contracts? on 08:57 - Jun 17 with 1309 views | Freddies_Ears | Or a squad full of players too good for the Championship but nowhere near good enough for the Premier League? They have the quality to go up, but I wonder whether they have the mentality this time around. Sell before they can buy, surely, as they still have a big squad of players on high wages (even after the inevitable drop post-relegation).

They signed him permanently last summer. Massively over-rated and trading off his Dad's name.

I do think clubs like Norwich have a bit of an issue when it comes to offloading some of their players. The championship still isn't spending big money in general since Covid. They have that winger Hernandez who's been on loan to a couple Championship clubs last season and performed well. In a pre-covid market they'd fetch 2-3 million for him but now they'll (assuming they dont want to play him) likely have to loan him out for a season to another championship club just to cover wages.

I know they have parachute payments again, which is a massive advantage, but I have a feeling they might struggle to go up this season. Smith seems a bit of an old school chancer compared to Farke.
