Does anyone know the terms of the loan as regards recall and the like? I've been looking online and can't find anything ...
I've been reading posts on here quite happy as he can't play against us, and hoping that he scores against our promotion rivals helping us.
The thing is, Portsmouth ARE our promotion rivals and in theory, if he does well his goals could take them up at our expense.
Also, once again in theory, we could have a situation where Pompey need a win on the last day of the season to pip us for automatic or a play off place. Where does that leave him and his loyalties? He could score sending them up and consigning his parent club to another season in league 1.

Deals weren't connected per se, but I think both sides used the other deal to some extent, us not confirming Pigott until Harness was done. |  | | |

Hes deemed not good enough / not right for us. So needs to leave.
He's on decent wages, and realisitically would only be tempted by leaving to join a 'promotion rival' (most of the top half of last seasons table).
We cant just stockpile players in case they do well.

You can't not loan a player and get hundreds of thousands of the wage bill on the miniscule risk that he's the one that scores the goal that keeps us down on the final day. I suppose it's in the last minute too?
If we aren't good enough to go up unless Joe Pigott misses a chance for another team on the final day then we don't deserve promotion! [Post edited 20 Jul 2022 17:09]
