I know we won well today. But that penalty shout in the first few minutes looked nailed on to me. And would have likely been a sending off, too. Had it been given.
I only got the ifollow view of it. Which wasn't the greatest tbf.
Anyone think the ref bottled it so he didn't have to send their player off in the 3rd minute?

From the away end it was clear as day. Genuine disbelief he didn't give it.
If he didn't bottle it, he wasn't up to play well enough to do his job. But he was pretty awful all game to be honest, had no idea more than once and the lino to our left was no better. |  |

It should have been a penalty but as it was a qenuine attempt to get the ball it would have been a yellow . I think he did get a little touch on the ball but went through Kane so was a pen . |  | | |

The photo posted in a Tweet by Stuart Watson gives a very clear demonstration that this would fall foul of the "off the ground and of control" definition of a dangerous tackle, in this earlier thread:
