I know rotation will be required. And I do understand KMs reasoning. However leigh for me needs to be in the 18 every week when available.
He and Davis are 2 very solid options but I do like it when we have the option for Davis to give it all for 60 minutes to then bring on leigh to get at the opponent fullbacks.
It must be difficult with a squad selection but imo some things shouldn't change and that's definitely one for me.

I'd agree with this. The thing is that with Ball on the bench, it limited the space available, and I assume KVY was thought to be more versatile because he can play on both right and left (in place of Burns or Davis). But I would have had Leigh on the bench at the very least. |  | | |

I can see Davis and Leigh switching when we have three league games in a week - so, for example, Davis will play against Cambridge, Leigh will face Bristol Rovers then Davis will probably return for Sheffield Wednesday. Possibly the same with Port Vale and Charlton at the end of October which, I think I'm right in saying, leads into a FA Cup game on the Saturday.
I do wonder if Leigh could do a 'Donacien' on the left side of centre defence as well. | |
