Does anybody know of a data-driven web resource where you can pop in two well-known persons and hopefully get presented with an ancestry 'path' between them, a period of a few hundred years so maybe eight or so generations.

In my case I'm trying to work out the familiar link between Eleanor of Aquitaine and Margaret of Anjou, purely out of interest in some fiction I have been reading. I've had the same sort of requirement a few times in the past.

The two problems are that whilst I could do it manually, it's time consuming and can be confusing, and secondly any web search for said tool is flooded with results relating to personal family trees and people desperately trying to find a link between themselves and royalty.

I just want a simple tool (I said 'want', not 'am'), to help me quickly see how a couple of historical persons were linked.

Thanks, any thoughts?

Thanks. It does a bit, because they're both on the graphic there, but Margaret is only there as Henry VIs wife, without any of her own ancestry shown. That's why I'm looking for a database-driven tool that cuts out all the chaff and just shows the direct link (or links if they are from Norfolk) between two people.

This tree is not hard to follow

Elaine m Henry 11
Henry 111
Henry 1V
Edwards 1,2, 3
Henry VI m Margaret

there were a couple of deviation where the first son died, and the crown passed to his brother who begat the next one
