Can anyone point to a recent study that supports the ideology of trickle down economics, in contrast to the debunking detailed in the LSE report?

The other outrageously dumb point in their economic plan which hasn't been mentioned is that you can now get pretty much a risk free return of 5.5% for a one year GBP deposit.

If you give rich people who don't really need extra money a tax break and the chance to get 5%+ risk free then they certainly aren't going to spend it/trickle down.

That or it will be eaten up by higher mortgage costs.

There is no trickle down - they couldn’t even get that part right.

Wealthy get a 5% tax cut, meanwhile the devaluation of sterling will drive further inflation probably in double figure as the cost of imports rises. Additionally assets and investments see monumental declines.

So I imagine even the rich are p!seed off at this point. Maybe that will see them off as their donors turn on them.

Problem being there isn't any mechanism for getting rid of a sitting government with a comfortable majority if they don't want to hold an election (fearing they'll lose) - short of outright revolution.

Unless Conservative MPs start defecting (or abstaining) en masse, there's no chance of a VoNC succeeding. Given the likelihood of losing their seats in the the subsequent GE, what incentive do they have to do that?

Being a dirty telegraph reader, I've seen talk of unnamed MPS suggesting that they know the game is up and that 'the shambles can;t continue' or 'perhaps a period in opposition would be best'. You never know....
